For over 15 years, Paul has brought a large elephant named Ella to every event - a powerful and unforgettable symbol of the “elephant in the room.”
Ella represents the unspoken barriers to change, the fear of taking action, and the silence that lingers when voices need to be heard. But Paul doesn’t just talk about Ella - he uses her to spark real conversations. With empathy and insight, he inspires audiences to confront the discomfort, anxiety, and fear she embodies, creating space for honest dialogue and meaningful change.
After experiencing workplace bullying firsthand, Paul transformed a painful chapter of his life into a catalyst for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
Today, he channels that experience into powerful work - authoring books, speaking at conferences, and providing training and coaching for leaders who are often perceived as abrasive.
Driven by a deep commitment to transforming toxic leadership, Paul is equally passionate about supporting those affected by bullying and fostering respectful, resilient workplace cultures.
Paul is the author of several books on workplace bullying, including The Workplace Bullying Handbook - a powerful call to action and a practical guide for identifying, preventing, and addressing bullying in the workplace.
As a certified Boss Whisperer® and a coach, Paul specializes in helping abrasive leaders transform harmful management behaviours into respectful, effective leadership.
He is also a proud member of the International Association on Workplace Bullying and Harassment, staying connected to the latest research and best practices in the field.
